Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has downplayed the severity of Cole Palmer apparent injury after his team's 2-0 win over Servette on Thursday.

The attacking midfielder was seen heading down the tunnel while holding the back of his leg at full-time after the Conference League win against the Swiss side, sparking fears of a possible injury for the man who scored 25 goals for the Blues in all competitions last season.

While Maresca says the 22-year-old was struggling with some discomfort, the new manager downplayed the severity of the issue as he expects Palmer to be available for the Stamford Bridge team's next game.

"Cole, he felt something but he looks fine," Maresca said at a press conference. "They have already checked him. He looks fine, he is okay. Hopefully there is no problem and he can be involved in Sunday's game."
