The former Manchester United star has been prolific when it comes to expanding his business empire over the years; from adidas partnerships to fragrances, and whiskey to fashion, among others. Now, biotech firm Prenetics has revealed the 49-year-old is a strategic investor, co-founder and ambassador of health brand IM8, according to the Indy100.

The ex-Real Madrid player said: "Their [Prenetics'] guidance has been crucial to my health and well-being."

Danny Yeung, the company's CEO and co-founder, added: "David epitomises the values of discipline, teamwork and health… we have a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the consumer health and wellness industry."

The report adds that details on IM8 are 'sparse' and it was developed by an unnamed former chief scientist at The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Beckham is certainly keeping busy long after the conclusion of his iconic footballing career.
